PERIKATAN Nasional (PN) chairman Muhyiddin Yassin has defended the Pagoh parliamentary seat with a majority of 10,007 votes.
Garnering 24,986 votes, the former prime minister won the seat for a ninth term.
In the 14th General Election, Muhyiddin won the seat with a majority of 6,927 votes.
Muhyiddin defeated Pakatan Harapan candidate Iskandar Shah who received 14,979 votes while Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Razali Ibrahim came in third with 14,426 votes.
Muhyiddin has been a representative in Pagoh since 1978. He did not represent the seat between 1986 and 1995 when he served as Johor’s menteri besar. – November 19, 2022.
