POLICE in Terengganu have said that victory parades by supporters of political parties are prohibited, especially on public roads.

State election secretariat chief Mohd Aluwi Husain said police wanted to avoid any public order issues.

He said the police are ready to prevent any such gatherings and urged the public to abide by the laws.

“We hope the election process will be smooth sailing until the announcement of the results.

“It is important for everyone to co-operate until the government is formed. Do not provoke or create chaos to avoid unwanted incidents,” he said. – Bernama, November 19, 2022.
