GOOGLE Malaysia has created a ballot box icon for its search engine homepage as the country goes to the polls today.
Visitors can mouse over the icon and it will provide an explanation, or clicking on it will redirect to the Wikipedia page on the polls.
People will vote in 221 parliamentary constituencies today, while the Election Commission has said voting in Padang Serai will take place on December 7 following the death of MP M. Karupaiya on Wednesday.
More than 20 million registered voters are heading to the polls today. Additionally, residents of Bugaya, Sabah, will vote for their assemblyman.
Polling stations in Peninsular Malaysia will open from 8am, and in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan from 7.30am. On the peninsula, the stations will close in stages between 12 noon and 6pm. β Bernama, November 19, 2022.
