Sepang polling centre forced to change locations due to flood

SEKOLAH Rendah Agama Dengkil has replaced SJKT Dengkil as the polling centre for the Sepang parliamentary constituency after the latter was flooded yesterday.

According to a Selangor Election Office letter, Sepang returning officer Abd Hamid Hussain had informed it that SJKT Dengkil was fully submerged yesterday.

Hamid had sent a request to the office yesterday asking for Sekolah Rendah Agama Dengkil to be used as the new polling centre, according to the letter distributed by the Selangor Information Department.

State election director Shafie Taib today sent a letter to the Election Commission asking it to re-gazette the polling centre.

Sepang will host an eight-cornered fight involving Anuar Basiran (Barisan Nasional), Rina Harun (Perikatan Nasional), Che Asmah Ibrahim (Pejuang), Raj Munni @ Aiman Athirah Sabu (Pakatan Harapan), Mohd Daud Leong Abdullah (Parti Utama Rakyat), R. Nageswaran (Parti Rakyat Malaysia), and Independents Mohd Syahrul Amri Mat Sari and M. Muneswaran. – Bernama, November 18, 2022.
