AMANAH is confident of winning more than 11 seats in parliament, ahead of tomorrow’s polls.

Party president Mohamad Sabu said this confidence was reinforced after a group of 70 Malay professors, or G70, backed Pakatan Harapan (PH).

“In Selangor, I am confident that we will win all (six seats) with Amanah also winning quite a number, God willing, more than 11 seats,” he said in Taman Sri Muda, Selangor, last night.

Amanah is fielding candidates in 54 seats nationwide.

Mohamad will face competition from seven challengers in his bid to defend Kota Raja: Barisan Nasional’s D. Kajendran, Mohamed Diah Baharun (Perikatan Nasional), Sarah Afiqah Zainol Arif (Parti Rakyat Malaysia), Fahmi Bazlan Muda (Pejuang) and three Independent candidates, P. Raveetharan, S. Surendhar and K. Kumar. – Bernama, November 18, 2022.
