MALAYSIA recorded 2,852 new Covid-19 cases yesterday compared to 1,749 cases a day earlier.  

According to the CovidNow website the total number of infections since the start of the pandemic stood at 4,953,418 cases.  

Selangor posted the highest number of infections yesterday with 936 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (316) and Sabah (212).  

Perak logged 104 new cases, Negri Sembilan (81), Johor (78), Sarawak (142), Malacca (190), Penang (92), Putrajaya (169), Kedah (183), Pahang (82), Terengganu (77), Kelantan (174) and Perlis (3) and Labuan (13).  

The Health Ministry also reported 12 Covid-19 deaths yesterday with one dead on arrival bringing the total to 36,566.   

The number of Covid-19 patients in intensive care units (ICU) stood at 97, of which 26 required respiratory support. – November 16, 2022.
