THE weather on polling day for the 2022 general election on Saturday is expected to be good in the morning in several states, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said.

On its website, the department is forecasting no rain in the morning in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Malacca and Johor.

However, MetMalaysia is predicting thunderstorms and rain in most states in the evening, especially in Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan, as well as in Perlis, Kedah, Penang and Perak, which would experience rain and thunderstorms in the morning and evening.

Only Putrajaya is expected to have fair weather in the morning and evening while Labuan will experience thunderstorms in several areas in the morning and evening.

The weather for Sarawak on Saturday morning is fair but thunderstorms are predicted to occur in one or two places in the interior of the state in the evening while Sabah is expected to experience thunderstorms in one or two places in the morning and evening.

The temperature nationwide is expected to be around 22°C with a maximum of 33°C on that day. – Bernama, November 14, 2022.
