COVID-19-positive voters must wear masks when they cast their ballots on Saturday, said Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
The director-general of health said these voters must go home after casting their ballots and should not stop anywhere before and after voting.
“This is to ensure that the voting process is conducted smoothly, particularly in terms of reducing the spread of Covid-19.
“The Health Ministry has taken the initiative to advise the public to adhere to health recommendations,” said Dr Noor Hisham in a statement today.
He said Covid-19 positive voters must ensure physical distancing when at the voting centres.
He added that these voters should not use public transport or e-hailing when going or returning home after casting their ballot.
