THE number of flood evacuees in Johor, Malacca, Kelantan and Penang rose to1,892 this morning, compared with 1,053 last night.
Selangor showed a drop in the number of evacuees while floods have fully receded in Kedah, where a shelter for 76 people was closed this morning.
In JOHOR, the district disaster management committees of Kulai and Kluang said the two districts were hit by floods after Segamat and that 276 people in the state were evacuated as of 8am.
In KULAI, two shelters were opened to accommodate 194 evacuees, while another 25 people were housed in one PPS in Kluang.
In MALACCA, the number of evacuees grew to 44 people at 8am, compared to 37 people yesterday.
Eleven people were evacuated to the Kampung Gadek community hall, while 33 people were housed in the Bukit Balai community centre.
In KELANTAN, the number of flood evacuees continued to rise, to 1,338 this morning compared to 809 people last night .
In PENANG, the number of flood victims also grew, to 234 people this morning, compared with 150 people yesterday.
In SELANGOR, the InfoBencana website reported 693 people remained at seven shelters today.
In KEDAH, the Sungai Seluang Mosque, which served as a shelter for 16 families, was emptied at 10.30am. – Bernama, November 13, 2022.
