Malaysia reports 2,882 new Covid cases, 9 deaths

MALAYSIA logged 2,882 new Covid-19 infections yesterday, taking the total to 4,946,583 cases since the pandemic began in March 2020.

Nine deaths were recorded nationwide, three of which were dead on arrival (DOA). 

Among the active cases 29,345, or 94%, were in home quarantine, while 1,780 (5.7%) were in hospital.

Eighty-four people were in intensive care; 62 of them required ventilator support.

Selangor continued to post the highest number of daliy cases at 1,240.

Other cases were reported in Sabah (257), Kuala Lumpur (227), Penang (190), Malacca (158), Negri Sembilan (121), Kedah (109), Perak (107), Sarawak (104), Pahang (103 ), Putrajaya (95), Kelantan (66), Johor (49),  Terengganu (35),  Labuan (17) and Perlis (4). – November 13, 2022.
