MEMBERS of the public who have information or evidence of bribery or corruption during the postal voting process in Bera have been urged to report to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

In a statement issued today, the Election Commission (EC) responded to allegations of rigging or corruption during the postal voting process in the constituency.

Earlier today, Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Anwar Ibrahim reportedly claimed that there were members of the armed forces, particularly in Bera, who have already voted and were paid RM300 to do so.

Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob then responded by calling Anwar a liar, adding that the allegations were slanderous and malicious.

Ismail said the allegations also defame the image of the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) nationwide. – Bernama, November 11, 2022.
