BARISAN Nasional (BN) candidate for Sungai Buloh Khairy Jamaluddin has denied signing an Umno letter of pledge supporting Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to be the next prime minister.

He said, he has signed a BN letter as a candidate for the general election.

“I signed a pledge that with the four party logos, loyalty to the party. It has the BN letterhead, that’s what I signed.

“I did not sign any pledge with the Umno letterhead as on social media,” he said in the Sungai Buloh constituency today.

Recently, an Umno letter of pledge and allegedly signed by Khairy was shared on social media.

The letter purportedly showed Khairy’s support for Zahid to become prime minister if BN won the election.

However, Khairy, who is health minister, said Ismail Sabri Yaakob was BN’s choice.

“It is Ismail, full stop. That is BN’s position as announced by Zahid,” he added. – Bernama, November 3, 2022.
