UMNO’S Khairy Jamaluddin regards himself as the underdog in the battle for the Sungai Buloh constituency in the general election.

“I come here as the underdog but I am confident. If we unite and work hard, convince the voters, we can conquer Sungai Buloh on November 19,” he said at a ceremah he hosted in the constituency last night.

Khairy said winning will not be easy, given the overwhelming 20,000 majority secured by PKR’s R. Sivarasa in 2018.

The current Rembau MP is to be turfed out of his seat, as Umno deputy president Mohamad Hasan seeks a return to parliament and reportedly told Khairy to make way.

The health minister said he would be launching his manifesto “Kata Janji (KJ)”, or “KJ’s Promise”, next week, encompassing education, flood mitigation, infrastructure and economic stimulus to elevate the people of Sungai Buloh. – Bernama, November 3, 2022.
