KTM Bhd (KTMB) announced a special Keluarga Malaysia train service to the east coast as well as eight additional electric train services (ETS) in conjunction with the 15th general election from November 18 to 20.
KTMB in a statement today said a total of 716 tickets are offered for special train services and 2,520 tickets for ETS train services. Ticket sales will open from tomorrow at 2pm.
According to KTMB, the initiative is to facilitate those returning to their respective states to fulfil their responsibilities as voters in the coming polls.
“The special train will depart at 3.40pm on November 18 from KL Sentral and is expected to arrive at 7.40am the next day at Tumpat while the train from Tumpat will depart at 5.10pm on November 20 and arrive in KL Sentral at 11.26am on November 21,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, additional ETS train services from KL Sentral to Padang Besar and vice versa as well as from Butterworth to KL Sentral are also provided on the same dates.
