THE nightmare scenario for our politicians, specifically the government, is the same as the nightmare scenario for every government around the world: the rakyat will get sick of its rule and use the power of numbers to get rid it.
The situation is a bit like a Hollywood film, a struggle between light and darkness.

The empire depends on keeping its activities obfuscated and unseen.
That’s exactly what the propaganda machine of political parties are designed to do.
It is also why internet censorship keeps ramping up, why propaganda is becoming more and more blatant, and why online discussion is swarmed by astro turf trolling ops.
Those in power are working against the people to keep things dark and unseen.
The mainstream media aren’t telling people about the real situation or the economy.
All people are being told is that other countries are also doing badly or worse than us, based on a complete fiction which omits mountains of data.
‘No, you don’t understand,’ was the response to concerns raised by the public.
They will use giant troll armies to swarm and silence anyone who questions the propaganda.
Since 2018, social media has been making a lot of things visible and transparent.
The government very much hopes that the general populace believes that it fights for them, standing up to anyone supposedly usurping it, or taking away the people’s rights and way of life.
Don’t let anyone tell you that criticising government policy makes no difference.
If it didn’t, the government wouldn’t work so hard to dissuade and prevent the rakyat from doing so.
It works so hard to manufacture public consent for its agenda because it absolutely requires that consent.
Across the world, circulating ideas and information discrediting and disputing propaganda dished up by governments poses a direct threat to them.
That’s what all the censorship of dissent is about.
Is our one tweet, video or public demonstration going to bring the government crashing down? Of course not.
Yet it will spread awareness by that much.
All positive changes in human behaviour are always preceded by an expansion of awareness.
Each and every one of us needs to nudge each other towards awakening to truth and reality.
We can’t be the Hollywood hero who single-handedly decapitates the machine, but we can all collectively throw sand in its gears, making it harder and harder for it to function.
Disrupting the propaganda is what we need to do because dominant political party machine depends on that propaganda.
The party’s weakest link is that it is held together by lies and manipulation.
That is why it is aggressively protecting its power.
It happens to be the one part that anyone with a voice can attack, and attack effectively.
If we the rakyat do not act on November 19, future generations will look back in perplexity at the blind subservience of the present generation to the very worst among us.
They will look at our remarkable ingenuity in always finding new ways to hate each other, at the herculean effort we poured into keeping enlightenment from crashing in and at the amount of work we put into avoiding being at ease.
Future generations will thank the present generation for cleaning up our mess, for setting things right, for becoming conscious and for getting them to where they would be in the future.
Let’s play a decisive and probably the most important role in our life so far, on November 19.
Vote out those who misgoverned and stole from the country, and stirred up hate.
Let’s pull the country back from the cliff edge. – October 23, 2022.
