SARAWAK DAP’s two incumbents and a fresh face will contest three seats in the state’s central region in the general election.

Alice Lau Kiong Yieng will defend her Lanang seat while Oscar Ling Chai Yew will try to retain the Sibu seat, with newcomer Tony Chiew, Bintulu DAP publicity secretary, will run for the Bintulu seat.

The candidates were announced by Sarawak DAP chairman Chong Chieng Jen at Sibu DAP’s dinner tonight, with party stalwart Lim Kit Siang in attendance.

Yesterday, Chong announced that Sarawak DAP will vie for eight seats in the state – Mas Gading, Bandar Kuching, Stampin, Serian, Sarikei, Sibu, Lanang and Bintulu – in the polls. – Bernama, October 22, 2022.
