THE Sarawak civil service will become one of the ‘engines’ that will propel the state to achieve its post-Covid development strategy goals, according to Premier Abang Johari Openg.

He expressed his confidence in the potential of the state civil service in delivering the aspired results in Kuching last night.

However, he admitted that managing the strategy is a challenging task.

“Civil servants are innovative and can see far, so you are the machine to achieve our goals and I am the driver. I can drive the car well, if the engine is good,” he said.

Abang Johari said the success of the state’s goals will help to turn Sarawak into a developed state with high-income economy by 2030.

“Through technology, it will give you a sound result that will be very positive and perhaps new ways of how you manage the task given to you, same goes to our strategy,” he said. – Bernama, October 22, 2022.
