Police to question Thomas, Jeyakumar

THE police have said they will be questioning former attorney-general Tommy Thomas for comments he made about racial issues in a forum last month.

Secretary to the police Noorsiah Saaduddin said officers will also be questioning Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) chairman Dr Michael Jeyakumar Devaraj.

“The investigation will be conducted by the Bukit Aman classified crime investigation unit and CID in accordance with section 505 (c) of the penal code and section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998,” he said in a statement last night.

It was previously reported the police received a report about Thomas’s speech at the forum “Dark Forces Towards GE15” held on September 17 and organised by the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Chamber of Commerce, for which Thomas and Jeyakumar were panellists. – Bernama, October 19, 2022.
