MALAYSIA recorded 2,231 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, against 2,090 a day earlier.
According to the KKMNow website, the total number of infections since the start of the pandemic now stands at 4.863 million.
Selangor posted the highest number of infections yesterday at 754, followed by Kuala Lumpur (515) and Perak (205).
Sabah logged 165 new cases, Negri Sembilan (111), Penang (96), Sarawak (63), Malacca (64), Kelantan (61), Johor (52), Kedah (44), Putrajaya (39), Pahang (39), Terengganu (16), Perlis (4) and Labuan (3).
The Health Ministry also reported five Covid-19 deaths yesterday, with one classified as dead on arrival. The toll of fatalities now stands at 36,415.
Three deaths were reported in Selangor while one each was recorded in Perak and Penang.
There are 34 Covid-19 patients in intensive care units, with 21 on respiratory support. β October 15, 2022.
