PERIKATAN Nasional candidates contesting in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu in the general election will use the PAS logo, said the Islamist party’s president Abdul Hadi Awang. 

The Marang incumbent announced the decision to use the symbol – a white full moon set against a green background – at a press conference today.

“We will use the moon symbol in Terengganu, Kelantan and Kedah. Other states we will use whatever symbol (the party wants),” he said at a press conference in Marang today.

Prior to this, the Islamist party had repeatedly said it wanted to use its logo as the Perikatan Nasional symbol is not well known and would confuse its supporters in the three states. – October 14, 2022.
