THE decision on whether the three PAS-led states will choose to dissolve their legislative assemblies will be announced tomorrow, Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar said today.

The party vice-president said the decision involving the Terengganu, Kelantan and Kedah assemblies will be known after the PAS central committee meeting in Kuala Lumpur tomorrow.

He said matters related to the dissolution of the three state assemblies were discussed yesterday and will be brought up at the central committee meeting tomorrow.

“I believe there will be a decision after tomorrow’s meeting,” he told reporters after chairing the 2022 Terengganu Administrative Officers Cooperative general meeting at Wisma Darul Iman in Kuala Terengganu.

On Monday, Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced the dissolution of parliament to pave the way for the general election after the Yang di-Pertuan Agong gave his consent.

Following the dissolution of parliament, Ismail also suggested that the heads of state government except for Sabah, Sarawak, Malacca and Johor dissolve their respective legislative assemblies to allow elections to be held simultaneously. – Bernama, October 12, 2022.
