Govt to cut price of 5kg bottle of cooking oil by RM2

THE government has cut the price of 5kg bottles of pure cooking to RM31.50 from RM33.50, effective for one month from Saturday.

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Alexander Nanta Linggi said the new price was set following a decline in the average price of crude palm oil.

In addition, he said the new prices for bottles of cooking oil are fixed accordingly for 3kg (RM19.90), 2kg (RM13.50) and 1kg (RM7.10).

“It is hoped that this new pricing will be of help to Malaysian families,” he said in Kuala Lumpur today. – Bernama, October 3, 2022.
