MALAYSIA reported 2,445 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, bringing the total confirmed infections in the country to 4,837,005. 

There were 1,613 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,775,927. 

Selangor reported the most new cases at 990, followed by Kuala Lumpur (441), Perak (184), Sabah (176), Negri Sembilan (119) Kedah (83) , Sarawak (82), Penang (78) Malacca (68), Kelantan(67)  Johor (60) Pahang (40), Putrajaya (31), Terengganu (24) and Perlis (2) 

Two deaths were reported yesterday, one in Perak (1) and another in Sabah. 

The death toll stood at 36,365.  

There are 41 patients in ICU with 22 in need of respiratory assistance. – September 29, 2022.
