Malaysia logs 1,186 new Covid cases, 7 deaths

MALAYSIA reported 1,186 new Covid-19 cases yesterday.

This was the lowest daily case count since June 7.

The CovidNow website shows there have been 4,833,008 infections since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

There were 237 infections in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, followed by Selangor (213), Sabah (125), Perak (110), Negri Sembilan (90), Kedah (73), Johor (60), Kelantan (59), Penang (56), Sarawak (49), Malacca (47), Terengganu (35), Pahang (17), Perlis (8) and Putrajaya (7). 

Labuan reported no new infections in the past 24 hours. 

Seven Covid-19 deaths were reported, bringing the total death toll to 36,357. 

Fifty-two coronavirus patients are in intensive care with 35 requiring respiratory support. – September 27, 2022.
