THE National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) will announce the student loan scheme for the M40 group when it is ready.

This follows yesterday’s announcement from Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob that the group will be eligible for a 100% student loan, from 75% previously, as well as a laptop loan.

Meanwhile, the PTPTN said borrowers who obtained a first class bachelor’s degree in 2019 and later may apply to be exempt from paying back their loans, from now until December 31.

“Borrowers can apply online immediately (for the exemption) at the official PTPTN portal,” it added. – Bernama, September 16, 2022.
