MALAYSIA logged 2,375 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, compared to 2,431 the day before.
The CovidNow website showed the country has reported more than 4.8 million infections since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
Selangor posted the highest number of infections yesterday with 683, followed by Kuala Lumpur (458) and Sabah (230).
Perak logged 221 new cases, Negri Sembilan (84), Johor (71), Sarawak (106), Malacca (113), Penang (108), Putrajaya (47), Kedah (70), Pahang (69), Terengganu (28), Kelantan (74) and Perlis (9) and Labuan (4).
The Health Ministry reported three virus deaths yesterday. The deaths took place in Kelantan, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.
The death toll stood at 36,299.
Fifty-three people were in hospital with Covid-19, 41 of whom required respiratory support. β September 16, 2022.
