Why charge editors with criminal defamation, asks media firm

THE Edge Communications Sdn Bhd has questioned the criminal defamation charges brought against its former editor-in-chief, Ahmad Azam Mohd Aris, and its contributing editor, M. Shanmugam.

Ho Kay Tat, the publisher and group CEO of The Edge Media Group, said in a statement today that he was shocked that the authorities were intervening in what should be a civil dispute.

  • I see no wrong in this and very true why isn't the effected companies highlighted took court action instead of the police, something rotten here.
