JOHOR is aiming to make its tourism sector number one in the country this year, Menteri Besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi said.

He said the hope was to match the state’s investment achievements, which at RM60.9 billion were the largest in the country, as well as the success of Johor Darul Tazim (JDT), crowned FA Cup champions on Saturday.

In addition, he said this desire is also in line with the state government’s plan to strengthen the economic development of Johor.

“Johor is blessed with beautiful scenery; there are six national parks, and 131 islands in Mersing.

“In terms of our heritage, we are also very proud, not to mention our traditional food.

“We need to be ambassadors of the state,” he said in Johor Baru last night. – Bernama, September 12, 2022.
