Health ministry reports 1,946 fresh Covid cases

MALAYSIA logged 1,946 Covid-19 new cases and eight deaths yesterday.

Selangor logged the highest number of infections with 673 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (246), Sabah (180), Perak (139), Kelantan (99), Kedah (86), Johor (85), Malacca (85), Negri Sembilan (83), Penang (72), Terengganu (54), Sarawak (53), Pahang (45), Putrajaya (39) and Perlis (7).

No cases were reported in Labuan.

The GitHub database showed four deaths were reported in Johor and Selangor respectively.

There are currently 1,312 Covid-19 hospitalisations with 75 people in intensive care units, 50 of which are on ventilators. – August 30, 2022.
