THE Federal Court’ chief registrar has lodged a police report against a portal for leaking an alleged court ruling of Rosmah Mansor’s corruption trial involving a solar hybrid project worth RM1.25 billion.

The office said the Malaysian judiciary will not be compromised by illegal and irresponsible acts that will affect the integrity of the country’s judicial system.

“This act is a deliberate attempt to affect the integrity of the operation of the court and the administration of justice.

“Accordingly, a police report has been made regarding the report,” it said in a statement.

The office was referring to a document, allegedly a copy of a judgment, which delivered a guilty verdict against Rosmah.

The report with the document was posted by the Malaysia Today website run by blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin.

Last week, there was another leak on the Federal Court ruling of Najib Razak’s SRC International case appeal ahead of the decision by the apex court on Wednesday.

The Kuala Lumpur High Court is expected to deliver its decision on Rosmah’s corruption trial next Thursday.

Rosmah is charged with soliciting RM187.5 million and receiving bribes totalling RM6.5 million from Jepak Holdings managing director Saidi Abang Samsudin for help in landing a billion-ringgit government contract to outfit rural schools in Sarawak with solar equipment.

The bribes were allegedly received through her aide Rizal Mansor as inducement and reward for helping Jepak Holdings to secure RM1.25 billion worth of contracts for the hybrid photovoltaic solar system integrated project and the maintenance and operation of diesel generator sets for 369 Sarawak rural schools. – August 27, 2022.
