ROSMAH Mansor said jailed former prime minister Najib Razak is in good health.
“He is fine, alhamdulillah,” she said before leaving the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex at 3.40pm today.
Rosmah, 70, clad in a pink baju kurung and scarf, arrived at 12.20pm to see Najib stand trial for corruption over misappropriated 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) funds.
Najib’s lead counsel Muhammad Shafee Abdullah declined to answer questions.
“I’m not going to say anything because you twist and turn our words, even in court.
“Go and find out yourself,” he said.
Najib’s daughter, Nooryana Najwa, also declined to comment on her father’s condition.
On Tuesday, the Federal Court upheld Najib’s conviction, 12-year prison sentence and RM210 million fine for misappropriating RM42 million of SRC International funds, ordering the 69-year-old to begin his sentence immediately. – Bernama, August 25, 2022.
