PAKATAN Harapan (PH) will be using its own logo for the next general election, its presidential council said today.

The logo however will be given a fresh look, the council said in a statement.

The decision was made at the PH presidential council meeting last night.

“PH will contest the next polls with one logo, which is our own logo. 

“A new design of the logo will also be considered, to give it a new lease of life during election campaign,” it said.

PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, Amanah president Mohamad Sabu, DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke and Upko president Madius Tangau issued the joint statement.

“The meeting decided to focus on unification efforts to strengthen PH itself,” the council added.

In the 2018 general election, PH contested using the PKR symbol because it had yet to be registered with the Registrar of Societies (ROS) in time for the polls.

ROS approved PH’s registration a week after the coalition won the election and formed the government in Putrajaya, replacing Barisan Nasional.

In several by-elections after that and further in the Sabah, Malacca, Sarawak and Johor elections, the use of one logo was no longer agreed upon, especially with PKR using its own logo while other parties used the PH logo. – August 25, 2022.
