SEAT negotiations among Perikatan Nasional (PN) component parties for the next general election are almost complete, its deputy chairman Ahmad Faizal Azumu said.

“We will finalise it soon and everything is going well. Alhamdulillah, all PN component parties are united and they will all abide by the leadership’s decision.

“(Although) there are overlapping seats, the number is small and it requires us to hold further discussions. If there are still overlapping seats, the matter will be discussed between the presidents of the component parties,” he said.

He said this to reporters after the Kelantan-level PN gathering at Dataran Warisan Stadium Sultan Muhammad IV in Kota Baru last night.

On the PN election machinery’s preparations, Faizal, who is also Bersatu deputy president, said all component parties are ready to face the federal polls. – Bernama, August 22, 2022.
