THE charred remains of a woman were found inside a car that burst into flames after an accident that involved a Proton Saga and a Toyota Hilux four-wheel drive at around 9am this morning.

The collision happened at Jalan Nanga Medamit.

The Limbang Fire and Rescue Department team and police rushed to the scene situated about 35km away, and identified the charred remains of the victim as Dorris Serudin, 55.

“Upon arrival at the scene, the rescue team saw the Proton Saga on fire, while the Toyota Hilux had tumbled by the road shoulder.  

“When the team managed to douse the fire, the charred remains of the driver was found. The fire and rescue team later handed it to the police for investigation,” said the Commander of the Operation, Awangku Mohd Hazman Awang Zainal. 

The male driver of the four-wheel drive had suffered injuries and was sent to the hospital by members of the public.

According to Awangku Mohd Hazman, the operation ended at 9.44am. – Bernama, August 15, 2022.
