Police probe into deaths of 3 Myanmar nationals near MRR2

POLICE have classified the death of three Myanmar nationals who were found near the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) bridge as a murder-suicide.

It was reported this morning that two children and an adult believed to be Myanmar nationals were found dead, while another child is in critical condition at Selayang Hospital.

Sentul police chief Beh Eng Lai said a witness saw a man throw the children off the bridge before jumping off himself.

“According to a witness, the Myanmar man was carrying a child and holding the other two children,” Beh said.

“When the witness approached the man, he suddenly threw the child he was carrying off the bridge, followed by the other two children, before he jumped off.

“All the bodies were found near the Desa Jaya traffic light.”

The children were an eight-year-old girl and two boys of unknown age. The man is said to have been 38 years old. All are believed to be Myanmar nationals.

The surviving child suffered internal injuries to his stomach and a broken leg, Beh said.

All the bodies have been sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital’s Forensic Unit for post-mortem.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
