MALAYSIA reported 4,271 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, down from 4,860 the day before.

The CovidNow website showed that there were four deaths, one of which was dead on arrival.

Malacca, Perak, Sabah and Terengganu each accounted for one death.

Active cases stood at 46,906. The virus has killed 35,960 people in Malaysia.

Selangor logged the highest number of infections with 1,972, followed by Kuala Lumpur (723) and Perak (280).

Sabah reported 251 cases, Negri Sembilan (221), Penang (191), Malacca (121), Kedah (97), Johor (90), Sarawak (78), Putrajaya (170), Pahang (69), Kelantan (57), Labuan (19), Terengganu (17) and Perlis (15).

Hospitals logged1,446 coronavirus patients, 28 people were in intensive care and, 34 on ventilators. – July 31, 2022.
