MOH reports 3,926 new Covid-19 cases

MALAYSIA recorded 3,926 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, down from the 4,503 cases reported on Wednesday.

According to the CovidNow website, 4.67 million people have contracted the virus since the start of the pandemic.

Selangor posted 1,167 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (998), Perak (331), Sabah (249), Negri Sembilan (244), Johor (108), Sarawak (80), Malacca (151), Penang (223), Kedah (142), Putrajaya (92), Pahang (71), Terengganu (32), Kelantan (61) and Perlis (12) and Labuan (24). 

The Health Ministry also reported four Covid-19 deaths yesterday with one classified dead on arrival, bringing the total to 35,946. 

The cases were reported in Selangor (2), Malacca (1) and Perak (1).

The number of Covid-19 patients in intensive care units (ICU) stood at 60, of which 35 required respiratory support. – July 29, 2022.
