MALAYSIA reported 3,300 Covid-19 infections yesterday, up from 2,720 the day before.
The CovidNow website showed there were nine virus deaths, three of which were dead on arrival
The country has logged 4,654,951 infections since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The death toll stood at 35,923 people.
Active cases reached 46,316.
Kuala Lumpur logged the highest number of infections with 1,060, followed by Selangor (943) and Perak (210).
Sabah reported 203 cases, Penang (172), Kedah (145), Johor (109), Negri Sembilan (105), Malacca (102), Putrajaya (77), Kelantan (55), Sarawak (36), Pahang (35), Terengganu (35), Labuan (7) and Perlis (6).
Johor, Perak, and Selangor reported two deaths each and Sabah, Terengganu and Putrajaya, one death each.
Coronavirus hospitalisations stood at 1,512. Twenty-three of them were in intensive care and 28 on ventilators. β July 26, 2022.
