PAS has agreed to use Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) new logo in the 15th general election (GE15), its president Abdul Hadi Awang said today.

Speaking to reporters after his weekly sermon at Masjid Rusila in Marang, Terengganu, Hadi said the party had agreed in principle to use the coalition’s new logo.

He however added that the issue is still being discussed with Bersatu leaders.

PN previously said it would introduce a new logo as part of its efforts to prepare for GE15.

PAS meanwhile had indicated that it would consider using its own logo for the elections.

Hadi also said PAS would continue working with Umno despite remaining in PN.

“We are not moving away from the agenda of ummah unity, and cooperation under Muafakat Nasional (with Umno) will continue,” he said.

“We are all together – Muafakat Nasional and PN,” he told reporters.

Earlier this month, PN chairman Muhyiddin Yassin said the coalition would be introducing a new logo for GE15 following a suggestion made by the PN supreme council.

Muhyiddin also claimed that Hadi had agreed to use PN’s logo in GE15, saying the PAS leadership “can confirm this”.

PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man however played it down, saying the party had not made a decision on which logo its candidates would use. – July 22, 2022.
