MALAYSIA recorded 4,587 new Covid-19 infections today, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 4,640,235, the Health Ministry said.
Of the 4,5787 cases, 11 were imported transmissions.
There were 2,652 recoveries, bringing the number of active infections in the country to 47,409.
A total of 45,856, or 96.7%, of Covid-19 patients are under home quarantine while 39 people are being treated at quarantine and treatment centres.

The ministry also said 1,451 patients, or 3.1%, are hospitalised, with 63 (0.2%) of that total in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor with 155 hospitalisations, followed by Johor (82) and Sabah (82).
Ten Covid-19 deaths were reported yesterday compared with eight the previous day.
Of the 10, five were declared dead on arrival.
The fatalities were reported in Selangor (4), Malacca (1), Pahang (1), Perak (1), Penang (1), Sarawak (1) and Terengganu (1).
In July, 123 deaths due to Covid-19 were recorded.
