MALAYSIA recorded a drop in new Covid-19 cases yesterday to 3,080 compared to 3,936 cases a day earlier.
According to the CovidNow website, the total number of infections since the start of the pandemic stood at 4,626,061 cases.
Selangor posted the highest number of infections yesterday with 860 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (817) and Perak (229).
Sabah logged 224 new cases, Negri Sembilan (165), Johor (86), Sarawak (39), Malacca (105), Penang (169), Putrajaya (152), Kedah (93), Pahang (42), Terengganu (24), Kelantan (64) and Perlis (5) and Labuan (6).
The Health Ministry also reported seven Covid-19 death yesterday, with three classified dead on arrival, bringing the total to 35,862.
The cases were reported in Selangor (3), Malacca (2) and Negri Sembilan (2).
The number of Covid-19 patients in intensive care units (ICU) stood at 57, of which 37 required respiratory support. β July 19, 2022.
