PASIR Salak MP Tajuddin Abdul Rahman’s appointment as Malaysia’s ambassador to Indonesia is still on track, sources told The Malaysian Insight.

“The reports are untrue,” said a source close to the Prime Minister’s Office.

“His appointment letter (surat watikah) is just delayed,” the source said, without elaborating.

The information was further confirmed by another source in PMO.

Earlier today, a web portal reported that Tajuddin’s name was not on the latest list of those who are to receive their letters of appointment from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong tomorrow.

Quoting “sources” the portal said Putrajaya has had a “change of heart” over Tajuddin’s appointment.

“That is why his (Tajuddin) name was not included in the latest list of envoys who will receive their ‘surat watikah’ (letter of appointment) from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong tomorrow,” wrote the portal. - July 11, 2022.
