Dear prime minister, the people did not vote for BN

THE prime minister recently said he is a representative of Barisan Nasional (BN) and that any attack on him is an attack on the coalition.

Mr prime minister,  51% of the rakyat did not vote for Umno and Barisan Nasional on May 9, 2018. They voted for Pakatan Harapan (PH).

Umno and BN were the losers that day.

Thus PH was invited by the Agong to form the next government, which it duly did.

The present government is the result of political machinations and manoeuvring without the consent of the voters.

The majority of the members in your administration was rejected by the voters.

It is obvious that the recent attack on you was made solely by Umno members who wanted you to call elections on the grounds that the government must have a fresh mandate from the rakyat to govern the country.

What fresh mandate? The people gave the mandate to PH in 2018.

Since that fateful day in February 2020, when PH was ousted by way of defections, the people have called for that mandate to be respected, failing which a general election should be held.

Unfortunately, all this fell on deaf ears.

In the eyes of the people who voted for PH,  the people who have helmed the government since February 2020 are doing so illegitimately.

Thus all actions taken by your government and the government helmed by your predecessor are null and void.

The lawmakers in your and your immediate predecessor’s administrations have betrayed the trust of the people.

An MP must act in compliance with the mandate given by the people. It is the people who elect the politician to parliamant.

So when an MP steps into Parliament, his only aim must be to protect and respect the nation, the constitution and the electoral mandate.

As far as the voters are concerned, only the government formed after the next vote will represent their interest.

To be a true representative of the people, you must seek their mandate. – July 5, 2022.

  • Only in Bolehland, one claims to be champions when they really are not one! Like every other outsourced businesses here, today's Gomen is another outsourced one or rather highjacked by one but fell to another. Both looks stupid today on how these bozoos acted on the situation from C19 to goods rise. Incomplete to the core but show offs.....well it's time to vote again. My vote is for a multiracial one......I don't give a damn about a single race base politics as 60+ years has taken us no where.....people, let's wake up
