Malaysians returning to the country would no longer need to fill up the traveller’s pass feature in MySejahtera application starting Monday, Khairy Jamaluddin said today.

The Health Minister said the relaxation will make it easier for returning citizens to return to Malaysia, claiming that the condition of the country’s health system is now at a satisfactory level.

He said the travellers’ pass will be abolished in stages, including for those in other categories.

“This abolition will be done in stages to also give flexibility to other groups such as social pass holders, foreign students and permanent residents, which will be announced later.

“For starters, this abolition only applies to Malaysians,” Khairy said in a statement today.

Khairy said that the features of the Traveller’s Pass will still be displayed in the MySejahtera application and it must be completed by non-Malaysian travellers before entering the country.

In addition to monitoring Covid-19 cases among foreign travellers, he said these features also allow the Health Ministry to closely monitor other infectious diseases, such as smallpox. – July 1, 2022.
