BATU Pahat MP Mohd Rashid Hasnon has denied that he will leave Bersatu.

The lawmaker in a statement today said it is impossible for him and Gombak MP Mohamed Azmin Ali to leave Bersatu, adding that any claim otherwise is merely an attempt to weaken the party.

He said he is confident of Bersatu’s future and will continue to support president Muhyiddin Yassin.

“Stop pitting us against each other by spreading cheap propaganda.

“Fake news attacks like this clearly show that certain parties are… trying to put pressure on us by giving a negative perception that can purportedly incapacitate Bersatu.”

Speculation is rife that Rashid and Azmin will leave Bersatu to follow in the footsteps of Zuraida Kamaruddin, who departed to join Parti Bangsa Malaysia on May 26.

Azmin was reported as saying that he will remain with Bersatu, whose idealism and struggle are part of his identity. – Bernama, June 19, 2022.
