THE retail price of RON97 will be higher by 11 sen at RM4.83 per litre, while the prices of RON95 and diesel will remain unchanged from June 16 to June 22. 

The Finance Ministry in a statement today said the prices of RON95 and diesel will remain at RM2.05 and RM2.15 per litre, respectively, even though the market price of the two products have risen beyond the current ceiling price.

The ministry said the new prices are based on weekly retail prices of petroleum products in accordance with the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula. 

“The government will continue to monitor trends in global crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people,” it said. – Bernama, June 15, 2022.
