1,922 new Covid cases, 4 deaths

MALAYSIA yesterday reported 1,922 new Covid-19 cases, compared to 2,092 cases the day before. 

The CovidNow website showed total number of infections since the start of the pandemic stood at 4,530,312. 

Selangor posted the highest number of infections yesterday with 821 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (351) and Penang (136).

Sabah logged 82 new cases, Perak (69) Johor (58), Sarawak (76), Malacca (76), Putrajaya (32), Kedah (50), Pahang (17), Terengganu (17), Kelantan (16) and Perlis (6) and Labuan (2).

Four more people died of the virus – one each Selangor, Perlis, Johor and Malacca.  

The death toll stood at 35,720.  

There were 32 Covid-19 patients in intensive care, 18 of them required respiratory support. – June 15, 2022.
