Seremban landslide damages TNB substation, 2 vehicles

A LANDSLIDE last night following hours of heavy rain damaged a Tenaga Nasional Bhd substation in Jalan Tun Dr Ismail, Taman Bukit Sentosa in Seremban.

Seremban Fire and Rescue Station operations officerJefri Uzus said a team rushed to the scene about 8.05pm.

“The landslide caused damage to the transformer at the substation. Two vehicles, a Mercedes Benz and a Volvo, were also damaged by trees felled in the landslide.

“There were no casualties but residents in the vicinity are advised to be vigilant and report any untoward incidents to the authorities at once,” he said in a statement today.

In another incident, Seremban 2 Fire and Rescue Station operations officer Harzizi Hasim said a fire broke out in a boy’s hostel, near Seremban, about 2am today.

The fire caused 40% damage, but there were no casualties, he said.  – Bernama, June 14, 2022.
