A TOTAL of 1.22 million or 34.5% of children aged five to 11 in the country have completed their vaccination under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children as of yesterday.

According to the CovidNow portal, a total of 1.73 million or 48.9% of the group have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

For teenagers aged between 12 and 17, a total of 2.91 million or 93.6% have completed their vaccination while 3.01 million or 96.6% of them have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

Meanwhile, a total of 16.12 million individuals or 68.5% of adults in the country have taken their booster dose, 22.99 million or 97.7% have completed two doses and 23.27 million or 98.9% have received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Yesterday, a total of 12,226 vaccine doses were dispensed, with 1,016 as first doses, 9,307 second doses and 1,903 booster doses.

This brings the cumulative number of doses administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to 71.03 million. – Bernama, June 11, 2022.
