THE post-mortem report of a woman believed to have been murdered and set on fire, whose body was discovered near Sungai Kuala Kangsar in Perak last month, found that the victim was not pregnant.

Perak police chief Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said the viral claim that the victim was pregnant during the incident is mere speculation.

“Investigations are still ongoing to find out the real motive for the murder, but we are confident there is a connection with the boyfriend who has been detained to assist in the probe.

“The boyfriend’s remand order has been extended for another six days, while four others have been remanded for seven days until next Monday.”

Police arrested the 20-year-old man last Saturday, before arresting four others to assist in the investigation under section 302 of the penal code.
